Take at look at this postCasallArt - Wallpapers: "Trapped Within A Raging Storm", and then check out the rest of her blog. CasallArt does some amazing work, and has been someone I watch regularly over at Flickr.
She likes my stuff too, or at least I have to believe she does from all the favs she has laid on my stuff, and the fact she used several of my images as the base for her manipulations. I love what she created from my art. It's so cool to have someone look at your work, and discover that they see more amazing possibilities in them.

I just completed an update to my CafePress Store beginning the process of re-organizing the store to have it so each image, or photo used to create products will be it's own sub-section of the artwork type section.
For example: There are now three sub-sections in the Photomanipulation section, called Nova, Prickly, and Fire Etched Crystal. Instead of having to pick the products bearing those designs from a too large listing in Photomaipulation, you pick the design, and then you will find all the products using it in the design's sub-section.
So far, I have just gotten those three done, but will be working on this until I have created a sub-section for each design, and moved all it's products into that sub-section. Once that is complete, I will start adding more new products for most of the designs.

I Bent My Rose Colored Glasses Hockneyized
Originally uploaded by unpolarized.
A friend of mine suggested I make this. She really likes I bent My Rose COlored Glasses, and is a big Hockney fan, and thought I could create a nice Hockney style abstract, so I did.

Tattered Remnants Of A Childhood Dream
Originally uploaded by unpolarized.
This is the image that got me the photo essay. It is by far my most viewed, and favorited in my photostream. It also happens to be one that I am truly amazed at how well it turned out, and more than surpassed how I envisioned it while creating it. Tahnk you to all those people who found/find it appealing enough to keep coming back for another look, to list it as a favorite, or took the time to comment on how it impacted you.

I am totally jazzed.
As most of you know, amongst my too many websites, and communities, I have, belong to, and feeblely try to keep up with, I have a Flickr account. I mostly use it as a second online gallery, as it's cheap, and it gives my photos, and such lots of exposure to people who would never see them otherwise. One of the members there, publishes a quarterly journal of art, photos, and writing by artists with "Mental Illnesses", called Invisible Fire Journal.
She was very taken with one of my photomanipulations, Tattered Remnants Of A Childhood Dream, and emailed me asking if she could put it in the upcoming journal. I was flattered, and after taking a look at the journal's website, gladly said yes. I asked if she could include the URL for WickdArts Design with the image, and she said yes, so I sent the url, along with the direct link to my gallery there, and my new CafePress store. She went and looked, and wrote me asking if instead of just putting the one image, with my info as a one page, or blurb thing, would I be interested in being a featured artist, and doing a 10 page photo essay, and being interviewed so she could write an accompanying bit on me from it, which will include info on my sites, and store. I of course said yes, though i still can't quite get over being asked, and will be working on putting together 10 images, with descriptions for the essay.
While I have no idea what number of people read the journal, and thus would see the essay, and stuff, it is more than one person, and it is a real published journal, not just an online thing. The journal website is Invisible Fire Journal for anyone curious. I get one free copy of it, and will no doubt end up buying several more. It may be a small publication, but I am getting published.

Nova
Originally uploaded by unpolarized.
A photomanipulation I recently created from one of my long exposure fiberoptic series. One of those that is worth taking a longer look at. Beautiful soothing blues.
I was very pleased with how it looks, and decided to create several products for my CafePress store using it. Take a look at them, and let me know what you think, better yet show me by ordering one for yourself, or as a gift for someone you care about.
Nova Throw Pillow
Nova Clock
Nova Tile Box
Nova Tile Coaster
Nova Black T-Shirt
Nova Womans Black V-Neck T-Shirt

Practice makes Perfect

This is one of my latest long exposure series. The series is of a fiberoptic lamp shot at exposures of 15-30 seconds, and with different amounts of air blown across the fibers to create motion.
